Christ’s Heart for His Church (Revelation 2:18-29)

This sermon on Revelation 2:18–29 challenges believers and the church to make holiness a priority, using Jesus’ message to the church in Thyatira as a warning against tolerating sin, false teaching, and moral compromise; while Christ commends the church for its love, faith, service, endurance, and growing good works, He strongly condemns its excessive tolerance of a false teacher likened to Jezebel, whose influence led the church into bad theology and immoral living under the guise of grace and cultural accommodation, reminding believers that God lovingly but firmly disciplines His people with fair, full, and faithful judgment, calls His church to repentance and doctrinal purity, comforts the faithful with promises of future authority and Christ’s presence, and urges all Christians to reject double standards, resist cultural pressure, and faithfully follow Jesus in holiness both inside and outside the church.
