Children’s Ministries

Children’s Ministries welcomes children from birth-through-5th grade on Sunday mornings! Our goal in Children’s Ministries is to encourage families to be Gospel-centered, grace-driven, and mission-minded by saturating each child with the love of God and teaching them His Word.

  • Teaching children the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a deep study of the Bible rather than merely telling stories or giving moral lessons. We use Truth:78 (formerly Children Desiring God) for our Sunday morning curriculum.

  • We hope children will come to see God's grace as a defining feature of their relationships with God and others.

  • We believe that children are loved by God and need His saving grace through Christ. In coming alongside families by teaching and discipling children in the Gospel, we are praying that God would use SVC to cultivate in children a love for the Lord and a desire to glorify Him in His world!

Your First Visit

Your visit begins at the Children’s Ministries check-in table in the hallway by the nursery (there is a sign outside to guide you). At the check-in table, a volunteer will help you log in with our secure computer check-in system, explain how things work, and direct you to your classrooms.

Classes

At Sun Valley, we desire to provide a safe and fun teaching environment for your child at each developmental stage. We currently offer the following classes during our Sunday Seminar hour (8:30-9:30 am):

  • Nursery: 0-2 years old

  • Toddlers: 2-3 years old

  • Elementary: Kindergarten-1st grade

  • Elementary: 2nd-3rd grade

  • Older Elementary: 4th-5th grade

During each service we also provide nursery and toddler care.
