The Worthy Worker (Colossians 4:7-9)

This sermon teaches that Christians learn how to walk worthy of Jesus by observing faithful examples, highlighting Tychicus and Onesimus in Colossians 4:2–9 as ordinary men transformed by God’s grace into beloved brothers, faithful ministers, and fellow servants. Though once enemies of God, both men grew through close connection to the church and the influence of Paul, developing godly character and demonstrating commitment, sacrifice, and love in their service—even at great personal cost. Their lives illustrate that every believer is given a stewardship from God and is not called to success by worldly standards, but to faithfulness in fulfilling Christ’s commands, living as slaves of Jesus who work together for His glory and the good of His people.
